Equal Justice was the incorporation of “Lawrence Davies & Co” and commenced trading in April 2005. It was the brainchild of Lawrence Davies, who had written and edited the “Equal Justice Review” in 2003. The term Equal Justice is taken from the US Supreme Court.
Lawrence, who qualified in the City before quitting to do human rights work, wished to provide legal services that rivalled those offered by the top City firms, but with a significant difference: quality advice but at a price that did not leave individuals and many businesses ‘costed out’ of justice. He pioneered the concept of “affordable representation” from first advice to trial.
